CIVIL SECURITY
Innovation for a Safer, More Resilient Europe
Syntezia's Civil Security mediation circle explores innovation related to security, resilience and the protection of people, organisations and infrastructure.
Our approach combines technology with user needs and real-world conditions. Through living-lab methods, Syntezia seeks to involve end users and stakeholders throughout the research and innovation process so that new security and digital solutions are not only technically promising, but relevant, usable and more likely to be adopted.
USER-CENTRED SECURITY
Security solutions affect many different groups, including researchers, companies, public authorities and end users.
Syntezia's living-lab approach promotes user-centricity, co-creation, experimentation, data-driven decision-making and evidence-based validation. These methods can help project teams better understand real-world requirements and improve the relevance and acceptance of proposed solutions.
DIGITAL SECURITY
Digital security is an important part of Syntezia's civil-security activities.
The current Syntezia Civil Security page identifies areas including:
- Mobile security
- Cross-border security
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud and datacentre security
- Authentication and identification
- Privacy and security
- Detection and alert systems
- Crypto-related security
- GDPR-compliant approaches
ETHICAL HACKING & TESTING
Syntezia's stated areas of activity include ethical hacking and penetration testing, as well as approaches to identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening digital security.
Testing and validation are important because new technologies need to be assessed in conditions that reflect how they will actually be used.
HORIZON EUROPE CLUSTER 3
Civil Security is also connected to Syntezia's European activities through Horizon Europe Cluster 3 – Security.
Syntezia positions its living-lab methods as a potential contribution to Horizon Europe security projects, particularly where projects would benefit from user involvement, co-creation, experimentation and validation involving researchers, industrial partners, public authorities and users.
OUR AIM
Our aim is to contribute to safer, more resilient and more trustworthy security solutions, combining technological innovation with real-world testing, stakeholder participation and responsible implementation.
