BIODIVERSITY
Protecting Living Systems, Natural Resources & Biodiversity
Biodiversity is closely connected to the health of our soils, forests, rivers, lakes and oceans. Syntezia's Biodiversity mediation circle brings together people, ideas and projects working to protect and restore these natural systems while exploring innovative approaches to sustainable development.
Our wider scope includes biomimicry, bioeconomy, biodiversity protection and nature-based solutions, as well as the protection of earth and marine ecosystems. We are interested in innovation that can contribute to resilient natural systems while creating positive environmental and societal impact.
SOIL, FORESTS, WATER & MARINE ECOSYSTEMS
Syntezia recognises that environmental challenges are interconnected. Healthy soils support food production, clean water, air quality, climate regulation and biodiversity, while rivers, lakes and oceans form connected systems that are increasingly affected by pollution and human activity.
Syntezia has also signed the Mission Soil Manifesto, reflecting its commitment to protecting and caring for soil health. The company highlights the importance of protecting soils from degradation and recognising their role in the wider environmental system.
Our interests extend to water resources, marine biodiversity, forests, soil and the wider natural environment, including challenges connected with pollution, resource use, climate change and biodiversity loss.
NATURE-BASED & REGENERATIVE APPROACHES
Syntezia's living-lab approach focuses on Tech4Good, decarbonisation and nature-based solutions, encouraging teams to explore practical responses to complex environmental challenges.
Through its mediation circles, Syntezia helps structure innovative ideas, projects and teams and can connect them with wider ecosystems and emerging European consortia.
The objective is to move promising ideas from early exploration toward stronger projects, partnerships and opportunities for implementation.
BIODIVERSITY & INNOVATION
The Biodiversity circle is also connected to Syntezia's activities around the bioeconomy, circular economy and blue economy. These areas create opportunities to rethink how natural resources are used and how economic activity can become more compatible with the protection of ecosystems.
Syntezia's European interests include circular bioeconomy projects, biodiversity, sustainable carbon cycles, sustainable blue-economy approaches and natural-resource-related innovation.
FROM CHALLENGES TO PROJECTS
The circle provides a space for different stakeholders to exchange knowledge, identify shared challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration. Depending on the project, this can involve co-creation, project structuring, living-lab methods, impact thinking and the development of innovative teams.
OUR AIM
Our aim is to help turn biodiversity and natural-resource challenges into concrete opportunities for innovation, collaboration and positive environmental impact, supporting solutions that contribute to healthier ecosystems and a more sustainable future.
