From a reasoned use of natural resources (water, soil, air), from sober and responsible consumption, adapted to the climate challenge, let's take action!
How do blue, regenerative and symbiotic circular economy methods help our generation make the right choices?
We will co-create, explore and experiment, stress-free and with fun, with new impactiful tools, design fiction methods and creative writing techniques to invent a story of a sustainable, desirable, symbiotic and blue future in Geneva, a city with quality optimal life!
Welcome to our annual blue economy event!
With a unique view of Lake Geneva, how can we not take the opportunity to address the subject of the blue economy and everything it makes possible?

The endless danse of water - The fragile water cycle
Scientific Workshop Theme and Objective:
This educational workshop explores the intricate connections between rivers, lakes, and the ocean, drawing parallels between these natural systems and the circulatory network of the human body.
Just as blood vessels transport vital nutrients through our body, rivers act as channels that link freshwater ecosystems to the vast, interconnected world of the ocean.
Participants will engage with both visible and invisible links that sustain these ecosystems, focusing on the endless cycle of water. From the evaporation of water over the oceans (where it becomes almost invisible, forming clouds) to its transformation into rain that nourishes rivers, the workshop will delve into the invisible dance of water between land and sea.
The workshop will also highlight the impact of human activity on these natural systems.
Pollution that enters rivers and lakes eventually finds its way to the ocean, emphasizing the interconnectedness of ecosystems.
Participants will reflect on how contaminants—whether plastic waste, chemicals, or other pollutants—cycle through the environment, showing that what happens in one body of water inevitably affects the entire system.
Through discussions on the water cycle, the subtle interactions between freshwater and saltwater, and the way water shapes landscapes and supports all forms of life, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the delicate balance that sustains life on Earth.
By connecting the dots between human actions and environmental consequences, the workshop aims to inspire a more conscious approach to preserving the health of our waterways and oceans.

The Ocean as a Mirror for Systemic Challenges
Target groups :
Artists, scientists, and futurist addresses the intersection of ecological transformation and systemic crises reflected in the ocean, including climate change, social equity, and biodiversity loss.
Challenge Focus:
Explore how artistic creations and narratives can illuminate pathways for change and shift public perception and policy responses to ocean-related challenges.
Interactive Round:
Participants will exchange perspectives on leveraging artistic approaches to influence public discourse and policy-making regarding ocean governance.Challenges you can co-create and sponsor

What results and outputs have we obtained in previous editions?
What issues have we already addressed?
What actions have we taken?
What successes do we want to replicate?
Carbon-free and active mobility
This was the theme of the 2022 edition, which took place in Geneva, and which allowed us to welcome the participants to the Geneva hotel school, for a day of pragmatic actions, which allowed us to generate around thirty innovative ideas and submit 5 complete files of radical innovations to seek funding.
We encouraged participants to take measures to come to our event in carbon-free mobility, and we were pleased to note that the parking lot remained empty throughout the event.
We want to keep the same approach for all future editions of syntezia open.
Meetings and exchanges between partners and participants
Feedback on the experience of previous Syntezia Opens tells us that participants appreciated being able to meet new people, network, and initiate a constructive dialogue on real issues. Consortia were created or strengthened during our times of informal dialogue, and allowed the teams formed to participate in calls for projects with the systems of Switzerland and the European Union to be able to carry out their feasibility studies, the validation of their value proposition, their prototype or their tests prior to placing their solution on the market.
Singular and original content, a new media that is emerging
During syntezia open, we share testimonials from innovative project leaders who have created businesses. We also conducted interviews that we broadcast in the All Inclusive SDGs podcast.
A gendered and balanced budget
We operate with parity in our organizational team and with a gendered budget.
We also measure the participation of women and men to ensure we have diversity in gender, background, experience, achievement and discipline.
Our carbon footprint under control
We measure our carbon footprint and we do our best to minimize the carbon footprint of our eco-responsible Syntezia Open event, and to raise awareness among participants about eco-friendly actions at every opportunity.
Zero waste, zero waste
No food was thrown away during previous editions.
No leftovers, no waste!
We now know that it is possible and we intend to do it again!
Bees, butterflies and little birds!
Because the protection of all forms of biodiversity is important to us, we have worked to disseminate flowers that bees, butterflies and birds love.
Innovative ideas, teams
This day resulted in several ideas being generated, and several of the teams were formed during our event.
